Hiboy C1 Folding Electric Bike for Adult Commuter

This is a very nice little bike, it's small yet powerful. The handle bars fold down and the pedals fold in to make it even a little smaller. This is small enough to take on the light rail while traveling across town. Or around campus. You can turn on the headlight with one push of the display button and change gears (speed) with two quick pushes of the same button. It has springs in the seat and front shocks to make the ride very comfortable for having such small wheels. It's everything a normal size E-Bike would be yet in a small, manageable format.

First off I didn’t think this e-bike was going to be that good well it’s actually pretty amazing quality and super easy to assemble. Rides like a bigger size bike. Very zippy speed. Great for the money. Battery life is good for what this bike is.

I live on the 2nd floor it’s not to heavy for me to walk up. Does take a wile to charge. Charge does hold well. Wish it had a thumb accelerator instead of a motorcycle style accelerator. Not all the bolts and thing are tight as they should be so tighten as much as you can before ridding. I did have the main screen go out within days HiBoy send me a new one. There customer service amazing! The headlight does ok. Fenders are flimsy. Hated the petals. Ordered metal ones as the ones it came with broke easy. Seat gets uncomfortable quickly but how many seats are super comfortable. I ride a lot and longer distances and this bike holds up. Smooth ride love the tires as well. Very easy to tighten chain and air up tires. Love love the dual breaks very dependable. Overall love it feel safe on it. Love the removable battery. I get som many compliments on it wile ridding.

Excellent

I struggled to assemble this and decided to bring it to a shop to put it together for me. Aside from difficulty with assembly, I think this is a fun bike. It’s also great for traveling with on the train.

I had never ridden an ebike before this, and actually hadn't been on a bike at all in at least 20 years. But after a few outings in a parking lot I felt comfortable on the street.

Like:
> Compact, both handlebars and pedals fold. I actually took it on vacation in my RV.
> Pretty easy to figure out how to ride
> Great "fun" factor
> Great customer service
> Using the throttle it is pretty easy to navigate hills, etc.
> FB group for Hiboy ebike owners

Not crazy about:
> A little heavy for me to lift when needed
> Assembly instructions were not great. I got it all together but the LED panel wouldn't come on. Customer Service responded to the problem via email and it turned out that I had not properly connected the wiring when I assembled the bike. There was no step in the instructions that told me to do that.
> I think I would like the throttle better if it were a thumb control instead a motorcycle control.
> The pedal assist is kind of strange. I can't turn it on and off from the panel. I can't select the level of pedal assist from the panel either. It sort of just "kicks in", perhaps based on how fast I go and/or how hard I am pedaling. Other bikes I looked at have a way to select and turn it on and off.

nice light bike, 20 mph seems fast and its got good power.

This electric bike has some exciting features, but some aspects need extra attention:

- It is a fun, user-friendly bike that is excellent for getting around the city or campus.

- If you are tall, you may pass since it is not adjustable for tall people. It is well-suited for female riders of medium height.

- It can go fast pretty well; when I tried to get on it for the first time, the accelerator was very sensitive, and there was no safety lock on it. Be careful about it; I got used to it quickly.

- The battery can be charged while on the bike. I tried to pull it out to take the battery to my home, but it was not an easy task. I instead keep it on the bike.

- I love that it can be folded and put in my car, but I wouldn't say I like the jack; it could keep the bike more steady.

Overall, it is a decent bike; research and ensure it serves you well.
